Solidworks Viewer

Anyone know of a viewer that will work on a Windows 95 computer that can view SW2003 files? Would prefer a free one of course but not opposed to buying one.

I don't know if there are any free viewers, that do what you want. SolidWorks viewer only goes down to 98. I agree with TheTick, its time time to let 95 go. You've had a good run with it, but the future is XP.

Thanks for the help Nathan. Only problem is that computer runs some software for machines in the shop and that software will not work on anything newer than the 95. So unless I get some capital improvement money to upgrade the equipment so I can upgrade the computer so I can upgrade the OS, I think I need a viewer that will work on 95.

I guess shelling out a few $$$ for a decent CAD viewer is a reasonable solution when you put it in that light.

there is a product called system commander that will allow you to have more than one operating system on a computer. We used it before we switched to Win XP just to be safe, because we also had programs (label programs ect..) in the office that would work on win98 but not newer operating systems. It worked great. You may also wnat to think about just buying a new computer since the prices have dropped so much lately. Then you can keep the old ones in place.

I checked into the AutoVue last week and I think for the prices they want, management is looking into Rockos idea. The cheapest AutoVue is about $400 and will only look at and print drawings. The most expensive will look at and print models and drawings with markup capability but is $1500. Seems a new Dell at about $500 with the free Solidworks viewer is the way to go.
