Not sure if this is the right group to ask, but I think you will know either the answer or who to ask:

One of the hydrologists working on a mine tailings environmental study just walked in and asked if I had a table that shows the solubility of various metals as a function of the pH.

I found a graph that shows it. But, she would like a table.

Does anyone know of one on line?

Which metals in which acids?
I would assume that an extractive metallurgy text would be the best source.

As a general rule the lower the pH the higher the corrosion of a metal. the solubility is a function of pH and temperature also.

have a look at this book on google books, maybe is the graph that you already have:

A practical guide for determining the solubility of metal hydroxides and oxides in water

hope this help u

Interestingly I just had a manager ask the same question. I said that directionally, lower pH's mean more corrosion, but it's also a function of temperature and oxidising strength of the acid.

In our case we have a hydrocarbon process stream into which a range of organic acids condense as the stream loses temperature.

We sample daily and have history which shows repeated pH readings down in the 3- 4 range... but the piping thickness seems to be ok. Still, I wouldn't mind a rule of thumb regarding CS's corrosivity v's pH.
