Hi Guys,

I am a newbie here as well as in non-linear analysis of visco-elastic material.
I am trying to isolate my design from high frequencies (>40Hz) using sorbothane. I am trying to do the FEA analysis using the material properties I got from sorbothane datasheet. This is my first time using non-linear study, I am running into large displacement error in solidworks.
The design that I made has to go 0.13 inches in static deflection in order to go down in natural frequency (~15Hz).

Has anybody else here has Sorbothane FEA analysis ?

Thanks
Maverick

You need the "Solidworks Simulation" version for non-linear analysis..
Not sure if you have that or not.. Don't think non-linear is included in the "basic" Solidworks FEA package..

Hi mcgyver,

Thanks for your response.

I do have the Solidworks Simulation with non-linear analysis capability.
