Does anyone have any experience in projects using Sorel Cement? I am having a hard time finding literature relating it to structural engineering applications/elements. I have several concerns with taking on this project. There hasn't been much testing with Sorel cement applications so I have concerns regarding, epoxy anchors, development lengths, and bonding issues with steel rebar, among several other concerns. A big concern, do manufacturer published capacities include Sorel Cement application? Would you anticipate changes for epoxy anchors, precast lifters, etc.? Is this something to steer way clear of, or is it a legitimate replacement for portland cement? Any experience or discussion would be greatly appreciated.

Sorel cement is used for lots of things, but is not compatible with steel reinforcement, so that limits its structural usefulness. pH is too low.
