Sort and edit of XML Materials library

Hi,
Is there any great software or method to do edit and sorting of data in the NX materials library file?
Other than Notepad, Excel and Word.

Using Google I found several XML editors most of which were freeware or at worst shareware. I would try one of those.

OK, I found Microsoft XML Notepad 2007 Version 2.5.
But the job editing the XML file is still a very manual time consuming job. I hoped to find a "database"-like software, but still no luck.
