SORTING DRAWING SHEETS 1

Hello, I am working on a Catia assembly drawing. This drawing consist of approx 16 sheets (so far).

That is the easiest way to sort sheets?

What I want to do is re-arrange the order of the sheets (i.e. making sheet 4, now sheet 8 etc). Inserting a new sheet between existing sheets. Seems the new format ALWAYS goes to the back.

I know I can rename the drawing sheet in "properties", but how can I move the sheet so it's order is correct in the "TREE"?

Also added info on my problem, I am using V5-R9 (yes it's old).

What I have been doing lately is adding a new sheet, and copying data from one sheet to the next. In doing this though, sometimes I LOSE dimensions (not sure WHY).

you can cut (in the order you want ) and past all sheets, this will bring them in the selected order...

you have sheet 1,2,3,4

press CTRL and select sheet 3,1,2,4, then CUT (CTRL + X)

then past... (this work with R16)

you really should consider upgrading to R16 or 17...or people will think you're not using a legit catia license and won't help you anymore

This company, DOES NOT want to upgrade....I won't go into details why....but, what can we do.

Makes it worse we have NO help files, gee I wonder why.

I tried it....it copied the four sheets to the last part of my 16 sheet drawing, PLUS romoved all the DIMENSIONS from the views.....

we i do this I have the 3D open and linked and view are updated...and it is working fine.

try CUT and PAST not COPY and PAST to avoid duplication.

Well itsmyjob...IT WORKS, now I have 17 sheets in order...

Unfortuately two sheets I LOST 50% of my dimensions, not sure why Catia does this.....

Lucky I tried it on a copy file.
