sound file processing

Hi

I have a orginal sound file(wav) and a degraded sound file that has gone through some filter.
I just want to compare this two sound file and show
the difference in graph or wave form.
How can I do it with matlab?

I know it is really basic question
but I don't know where I should start.

Read in both files, subtract and plot? Or just plot both?

What are you comparing? Power?

I want to compare amplitude and also get some correlation graph or value between too if it is possible.
