One of the places I used had a nice set of durometer references. In addition to having several samples of different durometers the side of each sample had sections of different thickness. This was great for deciding how something would feel in a given thickness and durometer. I have been trying to find one of those kits to purchase but have not had any luck. I can not remember if it was from a durometer instrument company or a material supplier. Have any of you seen these before or know where I could find one?

If you can not help me I can give up and purchase a selection of small samples from McMaster. However, the kits were nicer because the identification of the duometers was molded in and they were in a box.

Thanks,

Have you inquired at a company that supplies standards? They may have a sources.

Thanks,

The ones I have seen are used as references with durometers. They were allways all one uniform thickness.

They are usually given away by elastomer suppliers. I remember Du Pont having one as a man-figure with each body part (arms, legs, torso etc.) a different hardness of their Hytrel.
