Does anyone know of alternative sources of UNS S46500 other than Carpenter's Custom 465 offering?

TVP:

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. We had an issue back awhile ago about procuring Custom 455. Looking for alternate sources I learned that XM-16 was the same alloy and therefor this opened up the door for possible sources. I was hoping this was the same case with 465.

Talk to Ti Industries - they stock a grade that is very similar to 465. 465 is under patent but there are a couple of other alloys that are virtually identical.

There are other similar PH grades.
Look at the properties that you need and you may find options.

We already selected 465 based on our needs (corrosion resistance, compliance with FDA recognized consensus standards, strength based on FE analysis, wear resistance, etc.). Other PH and martensitic grades of stainless steel were considered. Thanks for all the advice though.
