Space Explorer + V5R17

Hi,

We have made the transition to V5R17 Service Pack 3, HotFix 19, 64bit... and Catia does not recognize my Space Explorer (with latest drivers V3.4.2).

On the same machine I still have V5R16, 32bit, and with this version is working fine.

Somebody had the same problems?

Damir - have you tried this.

Catia has native support for the SpacePilot starting in V5 R15. You must install 3DxWare as well, but no plug-in is required for Catia. If you are running R15 or higher, it's important that you reset your config in 3DxWare to the config labeled "Catia". You may have it set to "Pre-R15 Catia" which will cause the device to malfunction if you are running Catia v5 R15 or higher.

Hi Derek,

I did the following:
Unistalled old driver, did the custom installation of latest 3DxWare, with support for Catia post-R15.

In R16 I have set the configuration to plain Catia (even I did the unistall of previous driver, 3DxWare still recognize old configurations 'pre-R15').

Now I open R17 but still nothing, Catia simply does not recognize any 3D device.

I would check with 3DxWare and verify that you have a 64 Bit version of the driver. I think your problem is there, rather than in CATIA.
 
PROBLEM SOLVED!

Cause was the enviroment variable ADL_ODT_IN, wich controls if new product will pop-up when you start catia. It must be set that each time you start catia new product appears :(
