Just purchased and installed a 4000FLX spaceball. I installed the driver off of the 3d Connexion website. I have been playing with it and when I try toggling to the sub-part movement I crash. Do I have something set wrong, or should I just not utilize this function.
Thanks

I have a 4000 - sub part movement works fine in 2001+. Perhaps an issue (big surprise) in 2005?

There are very few settings for Spaceball in the first place, so I doubt it's a spaceball setting causing the problem - you might email 3d Connexion regarding the issue - their customer service is pretty good, and there may be a driver issue.

Contact 3dconnexion and see if the driver supports the 4000 with SW05.

Myndex,

This would not be considered a SW issue, but rather a driver issue from the manufacturer.

We have two people using spaceballs on SW05 with no problems. One is logitech branded and the othe is microsoft branded.

Sbaugh - Which is why I suggested getting a new the driver from the manufacturer, 3dconnexion.

crjones - Are your spaceballs 4000s or 5000s? And if 5000s, are they USB or serial?

I figured it was probably a driver issue. I downloade the latest and greatest driver. I was kind of wondering if other people were experiencing this same problem. This one is a IBM version that is a serial connection. I guess I will have to get a hold of 3dconnexion. Thanks
