I did a search and didnt find anything, but I swear I have discussed benchmark results on here before.

I am specifically looking for some benchmark results for SW 04 or 05 with the SPECAP (radio controlled car). If anyone has any benchmarks from the SPECAP I would love to have them, ESPECIALLY if they are from a newer DEll Workstation.

I ran my benchmarks with SPECAP on my mobile workstation and on a Dell Optiplex with a SW approved card and they ran faster than what SPECAP posts for the DEll M70 and 380 workstation. Something has to be off because I know my Dell Optiplex PC is not as fast as those, and I would be surprised if my IBM t42P is faster than the Dell M70. Here is what I came up with.

Below is the link for the specap results. You can download the benchmark there as well.

IBM T42P Mobile (laptop) WORKSTATION
1.8 M processor = to a 3.0 Pentium 4
1.5 gig of DDR2 RAM
ATI Mobility Fire GL Pro (SW Approved)

Note: All results are in seconds.
Lower scores are better.

Test Averages for 2 tests(s).
Test Total = 342.18
Graphics = 130.96
CPU = 82.82
I/O = 128.4

Dell GX 280
3.0 Pentium 4
1 gig of DDR2 RAM
ATI Fire GL video card (SW Approved)

Test Averages for 1 tests(s).
Test Total = 374.57
Graphics = 119.83
CPU = 93.08
I/O = 161.66

Dell GX 270
2.8 Pentium 4
1 gig of DDR2 RAM
Intel Onboard Video Card (not even close to SW Approved)

Test Averages for 2 tests(s).
Test Total = 988.82
Graphics = 710.08
CPU = 106.43
I/O = 172.31

Dell Precision 420 WORKSTATION (4 years old)
Dual 866 Pentium 3
500 meg of RAM
Gloria 2 Pro Video Card

Test Averages for 2 tests(s).
Test Total = 1168.34
Graphics = 358.39
CPU = 290.21
I/O = 519.74

I started thinking and the only thing I can come up with is that SPECAPP benchmarks were done on SP0 mine were on SP4.

If anyone can run the benchmark on a newer Dell workstation with SP4 I would greatly appreciate it.

I have run the benchmark on a new computer I had built in about a month ago.
The specs are
AMD 64 3800+ 939 Pin.
2 gig of ram
160gig serrial ata hard drive
an QUADRO FX 540 PCI EXPRESS
an Asus A8N SLI motherboard
Windows XP pro service pack 2
SolidWorks sp 3.1

The results are as follows

The higer the score the better
sw2005.Result.score = 2.68
sw2005.Result.graphics = 1.67
sw2005.Result.cpu = 4.95
sw2005.Result.io = 2.46

The lower the score the better
Test Total = 296.62
Graphics = 102.64
CPU = 65.16
I/O = 128.82

This was done with SPECAP benchmark 2005 with the Radio controled car.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Have a look at what SPECapc for SW really measures. It measures graphics performance more than anything else. SPECapc has open source code so if you want you can go through it and see what they are doing and how it calculates results. If you want to compare CPU performance use Ship in a Bottle or STAR2.1. Ship in a Bottle is still graphics dependent but not as much as SPECapc.
