I am writing the Special Provisions (to modify the Greenbook 2009) for a road widening project in using the format where you reference the specific section and indicate how to modify it like [replace the first paragraph with the following] or [Add the following] like the example below.

SECTION 200—ROCK MATERIALS

200-1 ROCK PRODUCTS

200-1.1 General. [Add the following]:

Unless otherwise indicated by the Special Provisions, Alternate Rock Material—Type "S" is specified. Part 4, Section 400, of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction will be used.

My questions is how you handle miscellaneous items that aren't in the Greenbook but you want to describe what it is and what is included in the bid like Erosion Control, SWPPP, etc. I was thinking about doing something like:

SECTION A - ADDITONAL ITEMS

A-1 - SWPPP

A-2 - EROSION CONTROL

ETC.

Anyone have any thoughts or comments?

Thanks,

Raydefan
