Those of you who use Permeability of Pore Fluid Flow (PFF) (and when Gravity of the Fluid is important so that results will be given in terms of Total PFF and not excess PFF) notice that ABAQUS requires us to define Specific weight of the Fluid (units F/L^3)as indicated everywhere in the Documentation and in CAE itself under Material-Other-Pore Fluid-Permeability.
However, I do not know if there is a mistake here. I think one in this case should define the density of the Fluid (M/L^3) and not the specific weight of that Fluid (F/L^3)
Please correct me if I am wrong
Background for your Info
(M: mass,F: force, T: time, L:length)
In ABAQUS to get the body force induced by the specifc weight we specify the mass density M/L^3 and we apply Gravity Load that is actually accerlation L/T^2
Eventually we get the (force per unit volume)L/T^2 * M/L^3
=F/L^3
