Specification for B-Type V-Belt

I am working on a project that requires a simple V-belt drive. I see there are A & B types, but I can't find anything that specifies the use / capabilities between the two.

Any light will be appreciated.

In the old days, you could look this up in the old Browning catalog. Today, you can go to

http://www.cptbelts.com,

and download the drive design software. This will enable you to spec your design horsepower, desired speed & service factors, and it will give you a variety of belt & pulley options
