I have a question regarding SPI Interface (recommended guidelines for robot/plastic mold machine electrical interface). If anyone has a lot of experience with this I would appreciate some advise. I followed the standard V3.0 to the letter and my robot programmer is telling me it cannot work without a start bit to the mold machine from the robot. I could easily add this bit but then I feel it would no longer be an "SPI Interface", that is we couldn't expect another robot with the 32pin SPI Interface cable to properly operate without the same variation applied.
I am guessing (not knowing too much about the history of this interface) that the 32 pin connector alone as laid out by SPI should be all you need and that the mold machine could run in continuous auto and not require a start from the robot? Who is right?
If anyone knows or knows where I can find more information online please tell me.
