Is there a manufacture that produces spiral bevel gears with a ratio of 4:1 or larger?
The diametral pitch will be 12 or 10 and it will be preferred if they are Aerospace quality.

Thanks
Dave

You can probably find a high quality (automotive) hypoid R&P close to that, but it has an offset axis.

As for AGMA 12 or better (aerospace quality) spiral bevel sets, I don't think you'll find anything "off the shelf". But there are literally dozens of capable gear manufacturers that can produce high-quality, case hardened & ground spiral bevels to your specifications. Anyone with a Gleason grinder can do it.

You also might try to find a replacement gear set from a light helicopter gearbox. Most helicopter transmissions use spiral bevels.

Or if you've got some budget, I can recommend the name of a very good helicopter transmission guy that could design those gears for you.

Good luck.

Yes there is,

ATA gears in Finland up to 7:1 when i last needed them
