Dear all, recently on a doubled circuit (four conductors per phase) 500kV Overhead transmission line that we are building, the splices are been made on the tensioner. Unfortunately, our crew cut the cable 100m longer that it was supposed to and after sagging, the splices were located 22m from a suspension clamp. As most specs, our client´s clearly states that there should not be any splice within 30m of the tower. Does anyone have an idea of what would be the solution which involves less rework?
