I want to make an associative spline. The Doc shows a command called Spline by Points. I am pretty sure I had used it once before. I cant seem to find the command in the menus.

Can anyone point out where Spline by Points, or whatever it my be renamed to, is located?

Thanks,
Brain Cramp,
GG

Doh..........nevermind. I found it. Studio Spline with Snap Tool.

You could also use the regular spline with associative points.

Hi EWH......Snap Tool doesnt come on for that. How do you do that???

GG

A snap point toolbar should be available.

Im only getting Snap Tool in Studio spline. I remember there was at one time a Spline By Points option I thought. Did they move it under the Standard Spline option???

Maybe my defaults have something missing. Any thoughts???

Im using Insert>Curve>Spline>Through Points>Multiple Segment>Point Constructor .

I never get the Snap Tool there. Only in Studio spline.

Thanks!!!!!

Perhaps you have to add the snap point toolbar to your other toolbars. Mine is always present, though it is greyed out when it is not an option.

The snap tool menu is only available to me when using Studio Spline, on NX2. For the other type spline, it remains greyed out.

Everything should be designed as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Thanks guys!!!! Thats got me going. Hadnt used it in a while and was having a brain cramp.

Thanks again!!

Gunman is right. Creating a spline through points will give you the point constructor, not the snap tool menu, but you can still pick associative points!
