I'm looking for a way in SW 2004 to get a length of a closed spline consisting of a number of straight lines and tangent curves (ie. belt path) without having to dimension each segment and adding them all up.

Any thoughts?

You could window-select the sketch entities and then Measure. You should get a total length for all entities.

There was a little add-in (free) that did this, but not in the way you've asked. You pick the end points, then the spline and it will give you true length.

Who posted that? TheTick or Scott or someone. .. Do a search on spline length for this forum and you should be able to find it.
