Anyone ever see what appears to be 16"x 16" x 8" chimney blocks - split in half and then used to build a foundation?

The blocks support a sunroom - were oriented with the split faces inward to provide a smooth outside surface.

My concerns include no attachment to the framing, poor building material choice, no sill plate creates gaps with the framing.

Most of the wall is above grade.

Nothing to recommend it. Sounds like a poor choice to me.

So, you’ve got a 2 or 2.5” thick conc. mas. found. wall, with a bunch of tits hanging off the inside face. What could be better? They can hang stuff off of those tits. They broke a whole pallet full of chimney blks. and needed something to do with them, besides wasting them. So, they convinced this dufuss to make a found. wall out of them. And, I’ll bet you will get an argument out of they guy when you tell him he did it wrong.
