Split large "hole tables" on drawing 2000i2

Hi,

I've got a drawing of a part that contains a large hole table. The part is a "heatsink" for an electrical device. there are about 75 holes in the part.

I have no problem creating the hole table on the print, but because of the large qty of holes, my table line spacing is quite small and the text is very small as well. I might even consider rotating the table 90° The print size is "D"

Is there a way to split the table into several columns that I can display side by side? I know for a fact that this can be done with a table that contains a repeat region (i.e. a BOM parts list on the drawing).

Can you shed any light on the subject?

If you are talking about a regular table, it is possible to add/remove rows and columns, to hide or unhide lines, to modify the size of the rows, and columns, etc. Practically you can do anything you want with the tables.
I hope I did not misunderstood your problem.

No... You mis-understood the problem.

This is a Pro/E "hole table" not a regular table.

Hole tables can be created by adding "holes" NOT cuts to a model and then creating a "hole table" on the print by having a coordinate system that the table refers to. In the model, create a csys at some location on the model (i.e. the lower left edge of the model). Then in the drawing, go to main menu, advanced, hole tables, create and you've got the hole table on your print, parametricly tied to the model. Add or delete holes in the model and in the print hit, main menu, advanced, hole tables, update.

It works great, but it makes a (1) one column table (actually a 4 column table - hole name, X, Y, and dia.) What I want to do is split the table from one long column (in my case from the top of the drawing boarder to the bottom of the boarder on a "D" size print) into (2) two or three smaller columns, side by side.

Hello,

Delete the current table.

In ADVANCED, HOLE TABLE, SET UP you can definf the maximum number of rows, change this to the required number, then create the table it will ask you for top left hand corner for each of the tables that will be created.

You had the correct answer !!!

I tried your approach and it worked great !!!

I had to think about it for a bit, but I realized that Pro/E in it's infinate wisdom asks for how many rows in the hole table, not how many columns I want the table divided into. For example, if there are 100 holes on the part and I want a (2) two column table on the print, then when I'm setting up the hole table, I need to "set rows" to (50). That will create (2) two columns with 50 lines per column.

Pro/E - great program... dumb program !
