Split Part Drawing Dimensions

I have two parts that were created as split bodies from a mold assembly. I now need to do drawings of the two, but would like to keep the original non-split part referenced to avoid having to do double the modifications. In the part drawings only the dimensions for the features I create after the split show when I insert dimensions. Is there a way to insert dimensions from the "parent" part or do I have to put them in manually? Thanks!
