I previously worked in SolidWorks and now work in WF 1.0 In SW I could model a solid that represented the external shape of a plastic housing and use the "SPLIT" command to break out individual parts that referenced the original. Any changes made to the solid carry over to each part. I've started a new project in WF and I'm trying to develop a similar strategy. I modeled a solid and then created new parts and used the "merge" option for shared data. I can then edit the individual parts adding features, using the solids datums, axis, points etc. All edits to the original solid are reflected in the individual parts. Do you use this method or is there another that you've found to be more appropriate?

look and see if you have the mold package if you are trying to design tools. It will let you do parting lines and shrinkage.
