split tapered bushings

Hi.
How do you remove a split tapered bushing from the hub on the shaft? There is a key in the bushing that holds the bushing and hub on the shaft in place. There is no set screw. The key cannot be removed from the front because there are little metal holds preventing the removal. There are three bolts in the back of the bushing and three bolts on the front of the hub. If you can please give step by step instructions of removal, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are usually 3 holes tapped for withdrawal and 3 holes without threads. Remove the bolts and thread them into the tapped withdrawal holes and it will push the bushing out of the taper. A picture of your type of bushing may be more helpful. i assume it has a flage

if all fails tap it(knock it loose) with soft brass/copper
as not to damage it

Is it possible that you have a bushing with a tapered key?
I've run across this on several occasions.
