spot weld simulation with failure

Hi guys

I am trying to simulate a 3mm diameter spot weld between two 1mm sheets. I want the weld to fail at 3000 Newton shear force ( interfacial failure ).

I have tried to simulate it by using discrete fastener but the problem is I can not make it fail at 3000 Newton , the connector type I am using is weld and I have added a failure behavior for it but it would not follow what I enter .

Do you guys have an idea how to simulate this ? or are there any idea better than the one I am using ?

Are you using A/Standard or A/Explicit?

I am using abaqus cae 2017 , the model step is dynamic Explicit.
