SPW911 Question

I'm working on a sheet pile wall using SPW911. The only way I've been able to get a waler setup that worked is with the "share load" setting. I was wondering if anybody could help me with what that would actually look like.

I looked through the Sheet Pile Design Manual by Pile Buck and don't see any mention of sharing the load between multi-tier tiebacks. Looking at this option in SPW911 it appears that it evenly distributes the loads to all wales instead of the wale load being based on active pressure at a given depth. I imagine that you would need a vertical strut on the outside of each wale and a tie-back located in the center of the strut between each wale for this to work.

You should not have to use the share load option to get it to work. This option would be for two struts that are connected by cross bracing. It might have some other applications too. What do you mean that you can't get a waler setup to work? What is happening, or what error are you getting?

Panars - The client has pretty constricting limitations on where the walers can go, where the bracing can go, etc. The only system I could find that fit in their envelope used load sharing.
