Looking for "springback ratios/constants." Trying to make a die with a rather large diameter (14" or so) and want to eliminate the number of guess and checks, so I found equations dealing with spring back, know I need to know where to find the springback constants (usually assigned the variable "K") for different steels aluminums.

It has been my experience that the spring back will vary from mill run to mill run in the same mill. If you are talking about different suppliers you have a problem. The big players (automotive) have enough clout to demand a tight tolenrance on mechanical and chemical properties but the average joe does not unless you want to pay a good bit extra.

Good Luck
