in a 3 stage Claus SRU, if the thermal oxidizer is emitting white smoke what does indicate? and what is the indication if is black smoke??
from my internet search, white smoke suggests that H2S is escaping.. but:
where is it escaping from?? reaction furnace or is it not being burned at the thermal oxidizer??
what causes H2S to be white since it is colorless?? or is it caused by incomplete reaction of H2S due to insufficient air supply??
How should you address this problem?? by adding air to reaction furnace or thermal oxidizer?? or air is not the solution?
what about black smoke?? what does indicate?? how to fix it?[/b]
