Question on Seismic Load Generators.

Say i have a 2 story buidling.
I want to use the load generation function in staad to determine the base shears etc (for seimsic).

Is it sufficient for me to include the "self weight" only? (as shown in screen cap)?

or do I need to manually apply the additional member & joint weight.. etc....

I know my total live + dead load of the structure.. but i'm not sure how to apply it to the load generator set up my seismic analysis.

Please advise.

Self Weight in staad means the weight of the structural member alone. In computing the Base Shear you need the entire weight of your structure, so basically you need to load all the super-imposed dead loads. Super-imposed dead loads includes your masonry wall, slab finishing, waterproofing membrane, elec'l & mech'l loads, etc.
