I've tried stacking 2 V7 style switches atop one another from Microswitch, using cams to activate them. However over time, due to the cam hitting the plunger on the switches, they move , especially the top one due to cantilever effect, and my timing gets thrown off.

I was wondering if anyone knew of an integral V7 style package where instead of 2 switches being stacked and screwed down, if there is an intergral package for the V7 style switch, where there are 2 switches in one case body. This would help me a lot. I tried glued the switches together, though it works pretty good on being stable, it'w messy and time consuming.

Thanks for the help

Do you want the switches to switch simultaneously or
in a given time sequence ? How many SW-s ?

Is the space tight ? <nbucska@pcperipherals.com>

I"m using 2 switches, activated in different sequences, depending the cams that are put on. The cam right now is about 1/2 inch in diameter. Space is tight..about a square all around the switches and cam....nothing beyond that boundary.

You could use 2 opto-interrupter which would need no force
and would have better resolution and lifetime. <nbucska@pcperipherals.com>
