Structural

I am designing a walkway that will use tension members to hang below a structural platform. This walkway has been framed using C8x11.5. My tension members will most likely be HSS4x4x1/2. I would like to connect my tension members to some W shapes that outline the walkway frame and then have my framing rest on top of those W shapes. Is there a way I can model this in Risa without returning an unstable structure? I have Risa 3D version 9.1.1 but don't have the connections add on. Will this be possible?

when i have a structure that needs to be lifted with tension members, i add lateral spring support at one end coz they wont let it rotate at site during lifting. your case maybe similar.

You can connect the members with a rigid link, pinned as needed to reflect your end restraints. The length of it would be half the depth of the wide flange plus half the depth of the channel. This will make the rendered image look right, but you have to be careful the rigid links are behaving the way you want them to.
