Hello I wonder if anyone out there can help. Would there be any difference in the structural strenth in a rotational fan made out of 316 stainless steel rotating at 1100 rpm,The process used was mig welding pulse arc. Now my question is. IF the gas used was argoshield 5% co2.would there be any difference in mechanical strength if I were to use stainshild which apart from a mix of argon and helium still retains 2% co2

Weld some coupons and test them.
The results will likely be more effected by you weld parameters than the gas, but I would strongly favor the argoshield.
GMAW on SS with 1-2% CO2 works fine. The He helps penetration.
