Can someone please explain why 7 x 19 nylon coated 18-8 ss cable is more flexible in cold weather than 7 x 7 cable which has approximately 1/3 the number of strands?
Generally, the more strands, the more flexible - it acts less like a large diameter solid bar and more like a loose collection of small diameter solid bars that are somewhat free to slide on each other to adjust to a new shape.
