Stainless Steel Fastener callout 2

We have a print with a 4-40 stainless steel fastener on it and in front of the 18-8 material requirement there is the letter t to T. The question is does this letter designate anything relating to the material. We reseached this in the ASTM standands and couldn't find anything relating.

It might be short for Type, as in Type 302.

T is for Tube product, as TP is for Tube and Pipe product.
