I'm trying to model the process of performing a mechanical Autofrettage.
The thing is that I'm relatively new to ABAQUS and I'm getting numerous Warnings. These include:
The strain increment has exceeded fifty times the strain to cause first yield at 4 points
Excessive distortion at a total of 7 integration points in solid (continuum) elements
Convergence judged unlikely. Increment will be attempted again with a time increment of 1.19035e-02
I'm trying to do a quasistatic, dynamic, implicit analysis.
The stamp itself is modeled as an analytical rigid.
I created an Interaction (Surface Contact) between the (axisymmetric) solid and stamp, incorporating friction. The BC constraining/moving the stamp is set to a constant (vertical) velocity.
What could I do to improve the model and alleviate the warning messages/potential problems?
Thank you very much in advance!
