I'm intrested in laying an overlay on existing concrete (stamped) however, all manufacturers of the products required for the overlay will only sell to licensed contractors of the product.

Is there a manufacturer that will sell the products w/o being a licensed contrator or going through a certification program for their product?

I doubt if you will have an easy time to convince a reputable supplier to sell you any proprietary materials if he is not convinced you are qualified.

This is a specialized process and any problems reflect back to the materials and their certified contractors. A few projects are not worth the potential loss/cost compared to what is invested in product development, marketing and training.

When an owner buys a stamped and stained or pigmented concrete surface, he is buying appearance and durability and not just materials and labor.

You could look for knock-off chemical suppliers for materials, but you will get little or no support and technical back-up. You can also buy a wide range of concrete stamps on line or through E-Bay - you can mold anything once you have a patern, but it may be unuseable.
