Hi all,
I have found out (correct me if i am wrong) that the titleblock consist of stand-alone attributes. To edit them I can use DDedit (for Tag, Promt and value) and Properties to edit a number of properties.
Now: The date is inserted automaticly as systemdate, but is not among the above mentioned editable properties - where to define or edit this ??
The order in which the attributes occur in the dialogbox when the titleblock-drawing is inserted, is also not quite clear for me to edit ??
Can YOU help me ??

Dear cll;

Try using ddmodify instead, AutoCad 2002 revised the way attributes are edited and now you have a nice dialog box with all the editable fields presented to you at once. I believe the date will be in there too.

As far as the order of attributes is concerned, they display in the order in which they were created. Editing and redefining the attributes puts the last edited attribute at the top of the list. If you want to be sure of the order in the dialog box, redefine the whole darn thing from start to finish.

Most of the time I just live with the messed up dialog box editing order. Especially when its a drawing I dont use that often. If there are too many attributes in the dialog box consider splitting them between 2 or 3 seperate blocks.

Basic title block info like drawing number, rev level, date and created by could be one block. Customer info, contract # and PO # could be another block. And so on. This makes it a lot easier to make adjustments down the road such as a customer who demands Work Order # and Contract # together in the title block. At least you wont have to redefine new title block just for them and be forced into using it for all your other jobs.

Hi Adrian,
Thanks a lot for your answer. I've just tried the ddmodify - it brings up the properties dialog box, where, as I described I can modify a lot, except what I pointed out (systemdate).
I will try redefine the order at a later moment.
I will consider the other good ideas.
Thanks again
Regards Claus
