Hello!

I am researching a product improvement application that will require adhering a (rubber foam) item to a surface of a conventional nail clipper. In researching the adhesive/process most applicable, I wanted to find out what specifically is the standard anti-oxidant coating used in this application. Zinc galvanization is my theory, but I was hoping to confirm this. Hope someone knows this off the top of their heads.

Thank you!

My nail clippers appears to be chrome plated. The plating is pretty cheap though; it doesn't keep the clippers from rusting in the shower.

SD is correct, nail clippers are Cr plated.

Normally Cr plating, some do blueing or blackening .

Great. Thank you everyone! Any suggestions on permanent adhesion of foam to it? Trying to use cyanoacrylate (or any one-part, I suppose) if it can be helped. Got suggestions from 'The Handbook of Rubber Bonding' but if there are any more, would be glad to hear.

Thanks again!
