Shell and Tube heat exchangers : BEU .
Tube side service : MP Steam / 16 kg/cm2g.
Shell side service : Mixed xylenes.
Type : Xylene finishing column Reboiler.

Is there any standard guideline for preventing erosion on partition plate of Dome cover (Due to tubeside inlet flow) ?

Thanks in advance to all.
Wishing you Happy New Year 2013.

The pass partition plates are usually made of a higher grade alloy than the shell or tubesheet.
If the unit is all carbon steel you might use a 2% Cr steel for the PPP, if it is all alloy steels then you might go to stainless steel.
