Standard Threads

Hi all,

I am trying to add threads to a cylinder but when I go through the steps I am not finding anything in the Type: dropdown box in the parameter step. Any ideas?

I should have also said that these are straight threads, not tapered. i am looking for a 4 1/2-12 UN thread in the option box, but nothing appears.

For an internal thread - On the hole options dialog set the units to inches -you should then be able to find it.
For an external thread - on the thread parameters step set the thread units box to inches.

In the "Home" tab select the HOLE pulldown and pick thread,then click on the second icon in which looks like a page with an arrow. Sort through till you find what you need as shown in the screen capture, your thread is there.
