Standardizing drawing template across group companies

Hi!

Does your company or group use a unified drawing template across all locations, with a standardized title block, or do individual companies maintain their own templates?
I’m considering unifying templates but have some concerns about the validity of notes like copyright protection if we only use the group’s details.

Any suggestion?

Good luck with that. You would need "police" to re-enforce them.

We are a large company with various sites. Each site controls their own standard templates. It would be difficult to control templates for each site.

Most of our SW users are not familiar with how Solidworks templates work. It would be nice if you could standardize them.

If you have Solidworks PDM that works across all your sites then you could maintain the templates. However, you cannot control what each person does within those templates.

However, that said, there is a tool you could use if the users would bother to use it. The tool I am thinking of is Design Checker.
