Standards for Design of Over-the-Road Components

I am trying to locate federal, state, or other codes/standards/regulations that discuss design methods/requirements/criteria for design of components to be used on over-the-road vehicles(for example a refigeration unit on a truck). Are there response spectra or random vibration data available to determine appropriate loading on such structures?
