Is there any standars or research of stainless steel fasteners (nail, screws or bolts)or connectors in mechanical timber joints?

I am also interested in determination of yield moment of dowel type fasteners (nails) made by stainless steel.
What kind of test metods and is there any results.

These values are needed for design joints by yield model (Johansen, Larsen)

I do not know the Hifi stuff, but you may refer to ASTM A 193 B8, B8t, B8m, B6 for Stainless steel fasteners spec. Some of the good fastener manufacturer could also provide you with the info. Also you may refer to A660 for some exotic test requirements. As for normal bolts and studs A193/194 would give you the required material. But these tests are only for checking whether material confirms to the Specification or not. These tests( Such as Tensile, Yield, Elongation, Reduction in Area, Hardness, Head shear test ) are ment for Acceptance and rejection purpose (A part of purchase requirement). These tests may not provide required inputs for research purposes.
