hello friends,

I have a problem regarding Swedish steels.

If we consider steel 1232 according to: Metalinfo, ASM and some Swedish books, standard for 1232 is SIS 141232,

1- However I found in some places this specification
SS 141232 , do you knowo which one is valid SS or SIS?

2- I would also like to ask you about steel 1232-00, is it the same as 1232 or not. I found for example 1232-03 or 1232-04, but I have never seen 1232-00, I used always 1232, but today I found this name 1232-00. Is it the same (1232 and 1232-00)? the similar case is for 1311 and
1311-00

If you have any answer or hint where I should look for, I would really appreciate that.

thak you very much

SIS, Swedish Standards Institute is the name of the standards developing organization based in Stockholm. The official name of the standard is SIS SS 141232 Allmänt konstruktions- och tryckkärlsstål - SS-stål 12 32 or Structural and pressure vessel steel using the international title. The -00, -04, etc. refer to individual grades within the standard. You can obtain more information by visiting their website:
