Standby Generator with multiple output breakers

Greetings,

Is it fairly typical to have a standby generator with two breakers each feeding a dedicated ATS? I don't see anything in the codes prohibiting such setup.
I am thinking about paralleling the start signal from both ATS's to the Generator controller. Upon loss of utility power both Automatic transfer switches would transfer the load to the genset.

Thoughts?
Thanks,
EE

You only need one start signal if the ATS is dependable.
I did one with one generator feeding two transfer switches for two metered services.
I did another one with one generator feeding two, four pole transfer switches to feed four metered services.
I have done several with two generators feeding into a manual transfer switch, feeding an automatic transfer switch.
The owner could use the manual transfer switch to determine which generator would be in service.
I never used two start signals.

It's OK as long as the generator is still protected per code. You can parallel the engine start signal.
