Standpipe requirements?

Hello,

There is a 6 story building. The pressure in the main is 90 psig minimum (static pressure is 110 psig). This is for a residential / senior assisted living building. I am not that experienced at FP design. I thought that any building over 3 stories required a stand pipe in the stairwell.

However, I wasn't sure if it would be class 1, 2, or 3. Also, is it possible to use a manual wet stand pipe instead? That way, the fire pumper truck could connect to this standpipe during a fire and function as the fire pump, instead of having to have a dedicated fire pump in the building.

I didn't know if a roof manifold would be required here either? If it did, I assume it would require 100 psig at the roof, which is maybe more than it would have otherwise been.

Thanks for any help.

I take the building has a fire sprinkler system??

What year and which Building code/ fire code/ or other code are you designing to???

and if possible provide the state as some have adopted requirements not contained in the standards.

Is the building defined as a "high rise"? Probably not but we need to make sure.

Yes it should have a fire sprinkler system. 2012 IBC,2012 IBC. Located in Kansas. Not sure on the "high rise" definition, I will check. Thank you
