Recently acquired an almost new Marathon 4 in 1, one HP, 110/220 motor. All windings including the start winding show continuity. The problem seems to be that the centifical switch does not always reset. The contacts remain open. The motor will run if the shaft is manually spun. As the motor is spinning down, you can hear the switch click when it decides to reset itself. No click no start. The problem is intermitent. The disk and weights that operate the switch move freely. The contacts are clean. I have had it dissassembled several times and can find nothing out of the ordinary. It is a drip proof motor so a visual inspection is limited.
