Hello,

I am a mechanical engineer with a very little experience in electrical components. Nowadays I have to install little dc brush motors for 12 V (about 30 to 70 W and 2 to 5 A). The theory is that you need a resistor to allow the initial peaks of torque and current. It is really necessary for such little motors? And wich is the best way to start these motors?
