Hi
I have purchased this old bandsaw which I have cleaned up and now trying to work it, it seems to be slipping between the motor cone and what I assume is the back of the worm drive or gearbox, the unit seems to be sprung and basically when it’s starts to go under a load from the saw it’s springing out of the way, there is no resistance against it.
Can anyone assist me?
It either needs adjusting or I am missing something, the green arrow is the cutting pressure arm but I can’t seem to work out how it works as it does not seem to do anything when I adjust the wheel. Many thanks
